The story behind this game is, You and your best friend Eric, try to become professional skateboarders. To do this, you will have to get sponsors and win competions in order to become pro. There is one thing, however, that stands in your way(I'm not going to tell you since it would spoil the story). Well how does the game play?

 

The controls on this game are great. The game play is still the same, except for a few new features. This includes walking,climbing and driving. The first two features are perfect, but the driving aspect feels a little sluggish. When you drive you can easily make turns just by hitting the handbrake. The story mode is great due to the gameplay, yet the story is a little lukewarm. Besides story mode, there's also:Multiplayer, Free Skate, Options and a whole list of Create A features. This includes Create A Skater, Create A Trick, Create A Park and Create A Deck. The music is great(though not as good as Tony Hawk 4), which features music by KISS and Jane's Addiction.

 

This game, sadly, features a few bugs. And last but not least, this game's difficulty changes a lot (ex: Trying to spinal transfer a wall in Moscow). No matter how much I tried on this, there was no way to beat the goal which left me to cheats (Moon gravity code).

 

This is the best game in the Tony Hawk series. Despite a few bugs and driving problems, this game delivers a great gameplaying experience. I wish that the difficulty would stay consistent. Overall: 4.5* out of 5*
