When I started reading Amazing Spiderman, it was great...for a while. Now with the recent story arc, I find that it hasn't
delivered yet. However, after the end of the last issue, there is some promise of a great comic. Does it deliver?
In recent issues, Spiderman has been attacked by two, mysterious people who want to take his life. After recent events,
Peter Parker thinks that these people are linked to Gwen Stacy, Parker's deceased lover. Parker does some research and discovers
that they are Gwen Stacy's children! When he goes to home, Mary Jane reveals a terrible secret.
J. Michael Straczynski has created a story that features one of the most shocking moments in the Spiderman mythology
and it makes sense. Straczynski also manages to place some great character-based moments. Mike Deodato Jr. compliments Straczynski
with some great pencils.
One of the downfalls of this comic is that some of the conversations between the characters fall flat. Now, just because
I could handle the shocking moment in the comic doesn't mean others won't be outraged. Read this comic with caution.
Overall, Amazing Spiderman 512 is okay. It features some great art and some interesting moments. However, read with caution
because some might be outraged at the shocking moment of this comic. This comic receives 3.5* out of 5*
