For those of you who haven't been on this site, don't know that I've been enjoying the past few issues of Runaways. Issue, after issue, after issue, this comic has been awesome. So when the latest issue of the series was on the shelf of my local comic book store, I just
had to check it out. Awesome or a complete disappointment?
In the last issue of Runaways, the gang had just entered the lair of Gibborim, a group of monsters that have given the
task to their parents, to destroy the earth. For this task, six of the parents would receive eternal life with the Gibborim.
However, things weren't going so well, as one of their own was near death.
As always, Brian K. Vaughan has weaved a great plot with some killer characterization. However, this issue focuses more
on the plot, and boy, how about that plot? It featured some great action packed moments mixed in with some personal moments.
Now with that alone, this would be a great comic,but no, Vaughan even added a surprise ending that shocked me and left me
stunned for a few minutes after reading it! And on top of this, Adrian Alphona and the rest of the art team, has some excellent
art to complement this great story.
Overall, this might be the best issue in the entire existence of this comic. Vaughan has done a great job as always,
but with that great ending, Vaughan has me begging for more! Add some great art, and you have an excellent comic! The few
months that this comic will be gone, may seem a little long after reading this. This comic receives 5* out of 5*
